Many have reported a problem, I dealt with it as well, with the burned DVD not working properly. Could it simply be a bad burn? I had to burn mine a second time using a slower speed (burned at 4x) and then it worked perfectly. -Wojo

i bought the dvds from microsoft 32 bit and 64bit

i have bought dvd from micrsoft

It is rather hard to tell where in the install process when you use terms like 'after the last thing'.

I burnt three Beta 2 versions (x86 ENU, x86 DEU, x64 DEU) at 2x - as recommended - and all installed smoothly.

Good. Have you tried going into VGA mode and resetting your video settings to a lower setting and refresh rate.

no what does that do let me try that

where can i find that is that right clicking and then properties it say 60 hertz but i cant get lower then that

That's low enough and if the resolution is also fairly low, then this is not the problem. You have gone thru the complete setup, correct? What do you see when you boot into VGA or safe modes. What screen did you have when you right clicked?

Try booting into Safe Mode.

I think everybody else is on the right track here. It is likely a display mode problem. I didn't get lines when I installed I got the generic display drivers which worked with very low res poor quality video until I found and installed Vista video card and monitor drivers. Booting into safe mode would hopefully give you access to your computer to be able to download and install the correct drivers. -Wojo

If you post more about you're hardware maybe there is someone with similar jardware that has had to solve any installation problems.
I have 3.2ghz, 2gb of ram and 256mb video and all works fine.

Try restarting in Safe mode and letting it finish the install

Christian,
I'd start over and format the drive and do a clean install

Windows Vista
